Museum Curator and Administrator — Filled
The Antigonish Heritage Museum is a community museum first opened to the public in 1991.
Its mission is to preserve and promote a cultural understanding of the heritage of Antigonish Town and County. Housed in the former CN Rail Station building in the Town of Antigonish, the Museum provides year-round access to displays and programming that showcase the area’s rich history.
On behalf of the Museum Board of Directors, we seek a community-oriented individual to serve as Museum Curator and Administrator.
What qualities are needed for this role?
As the Museum Curator and Administrator, you will oversee the Museum’s collection, programming, marketing, and management of the museum building.
As the ideal candidate, you possess appropriate academic qualifications, a background working in an arts culture-based organization and previous experience with records management.
You have a strong eye for detail, are highly organized, and have solid research and verbal and written communication skills.
Your exceptional people skills and love of the community will enable you to serve as a welcoming host and ambassador of the Museum.
