Manager, Provincial Operations Filled

Ducks Unlimited Canada (DUC) is the leader in wetland conservation. A registered charity, DUC partners with government, industry, non-profit organizations, and landowners to conserve and restore wetlands critical to waterfowl, wildlife, and the environment.

On their behalf, we seek an experienced and passionate professional as their Manager, Provincial Operations in Atlantic Canada. Reporting to the Director of Regional Operations, you will be responsible for leading and supporting the Provincial Operations Team to ensure DUC’s strategies, conservation programs, communication and education plans, and revenue generation activities are completed according to plan.

What qualities are needed for this role?

As the ideal candidate, you are a skilled, not-for-profit leader whose personal values reflect those of Ducks Unlimited Canada, and you are knowledgeable of the issues related to environmental conservation in Canada and specifically Atlantic Canada.

You possess appropriate academic credentials and a combination of skills and experience that include financial management, policy implementation, communications and advocacy, human resources, operations, risk management, revenue generation, and others. In addition, your leadership style is highly facilitative as you seek to create a positive, inclusive, healthy, and safe work environment.

A strong leader of others, you will manage an experienced, multi-disciplinary team of 18 full-time staff spread across Atlantic Canada, providing coaching and mentoring to them as they work to achieve their goals.

You have a successful track record of accomplishments and can build consensus among various stakeholders such as multiple levels of government, volunteers, donors, the corporate sector, regional and national staff, and others.
