On their behalf, we are recruiting a Third-Party Evaluator to assist in evaluating funding proposals submitted to the Atlantic Integrated Commercial Fisheries Initiative and the Northern Integrated Commercial Fisheries Initiative on behalf of Indigenous communities and their Commercial Fisheries Enterprises.

What is required to succeed in this role?

As the ideal candidate, you are an Indigenous person with a degree in business, accounting, or economics, or equivalent work experience in the areas of economic development, commercial banking, community development, accounting, operations, or general management.

A background or familiarity with commercial fisheries and aquaculture is a definite asset.

Personally, you are highly organized and analytical and have a high level of business acumen. You understand financial statements, cash flows, risk management, and enjoy evaluating complex funding proposals.

Finally, the skills you have gained in working with Indigenous communities position you to build and maintain collaborative, trusting relationships.

This position is fully remote and can be performed from anywhere in the Atlantic Region. Extensive travel to Indigenous communities throughout Atlantic Canada is required.
