Richmond Villa is a not-for-profit organization that provides a variety of housing options and programs within an integrated complex. Located in the heart of St. Peter’s, Nova Scotia, this 68-bedmodern facility provides long-term care, assisted living, residential care, and clinical and spiritual services to their community.
On their behalf, we seek an experienced and highly motivated professional to serve as their Director of Care.
Reporting directly to the Chief Executive Officer, this role has primary responsibility for the operation and management of the Nursing Department, ensuring the provision of comprehensive nursing and allied health services to all residents in accordance with the Mission, Vision and Values of Richmond Villa.
What qualities are required for this role?
Ideally, you are a Registered Nurse (RN) with significant human resource leadership experience in a unionized environment. Your highly empathetic leadership style enables you to build and maintain trust with all levels of the nursing team.
Your human resource management experience includes recruitment, interviewing, hiring, supervision, and staff evaluation. Your background demonstrates a commitment to creating positive, inclusive, healthy, and safe work environments.
Well-developed organizational skills equip you to schedule and manage a dynamic nursing department. You have well-honed budget and resource management skills and experience in ensuring compliance with all applicable statutory, regulatory, and safety codes.
