Selecting a career transition firm can be confusing quite simply because many of the programs and services being offered by firms are similar. Here is a list of what sets us apart from others - what makes us different?

Business orientation

Because of our extensive history in recruitment, we have a solid understanding of what employers are looking for. We know how employers approach an interview, what questions they will ask, how they will identify "fit," and the process they will follow to make a selection. You'll find all our career advice is practical, results-oriented, and geared to the "real world."

Networking opportunities

Most good job leads are generated through networking, not newspaper advertisements. With our long list of search clients and extensive involvement in the community, we are familiar with most senior decision makers and human resource professionals in the region. We can put you in touch with the right people.

Private career coaching

While we do provide group workshops like other firms, we believe in the power and importance of one-on-one counselling. We believe our clients' success is related to the individual time and advice given by our counsellors. In fact, all of our group workshops also have an individual counselling component.

Career support for life

Our career support continues long after the program is over. We offer career guidance, job search support and resume updates for throughout our clients' careers - at no cost.

Accessibility

Clients who need access to our facilities or counsellors on weekends or in the evenings can easily arrange to do so.

Flexible services

We will do whatever we can to customize our services to meet our clients' needs. This can mean putting a program on hold while a consulting assignment is taken, working from a remote location, or working on-line. For others, it may mean departing from the program that is purchased and focusing on an individual's unique needs.

We measure outcomes not process

We judge success by how close we come to meeting our clients expectations not just how fast they get their next job. Rest assured, our job search time is better than average and our clients make as much if not more than in their previous jobs. But what really counts is how the job is defined. We've found that some clients wish to proceed at a more leisurely pace. Others are willing to trade salary for a try at a different career. Some want to be working soon. Clients define their expectation - that's where we'll go.
