Project Leader
Project # 1481

This is one of the most meaningful jobs I’ve seen. Go to www.ted.com/talks and search for Bill Strickland's slide show. You’ll be moved – I guarantee it. Bill wants to start a school like this in Halifax. A committed group of local citizens are working closely with him to make this happen. They need someone who can lead this initiative, taking the project from concept to construction. We are helping them find that special person.

We need someone who is entrepreneurial and creative. Someone who believes you can create something big from an idea. Someone who gets the big picture yet gives attention to detail. Someone who loves interacting with people yet manages budgets well. Someone who can build bridges and build buildings. Someone who believes in this community and wants to leave a legacy. And, most importantly, someone who sees the great potential in youth, and in training young adults.

Ideally, you are comfortable in many settings, from construction sites to boardroom tables, and you bring a range of skills from fund raising to project management. If this opportunity intrigues you, check out TED Talks, and send me a letter along with your resume explaining why you’d like to do this. Your correspondence can be sent to apply@geraldwalsh.com. Please quote project # 1481 in the subject line. Or, if you prefer to chat first, please give me (Gerry Walsh) a call at (902) 424-1112.
