Treasurer The Municipal Group, a diverse group of companies engaged primarily in the construction sector, is seeking an experienced finance professional as Treasurer to manage the company’s day-to-day financing and cash management requirements. In this key role, you will provide efficient cash management for the companies to meet their requirements for operations, acquisitions, construction and development. Familiar with the latest bank technologies, products and services, you will utilize these tools to improve cash flow and simplify operations for the company. You will also play an important role in the management of existing relationships with bankers and other lenders. Working closely with the Controller and VP Finance, you will participate in financial analysis, planning and budgeting activities, and oversee all external reporting (including covenant requirements) to banks. You will also play a support role in the due diligence portion of acquisitions. As the ideal candidate, you have a business degree in accounting or finance and possibly a professional designation (CA, CMA, CGA, CFA). You have an intimate understanding of all types of financing and have a solid grasp of banking methods and technologies. You understand credit agreements, loan covenants, leasing contracts, and other financial documentation. With an eye to improving company practices and profitability, you pay attention to detail yet have the ability to think strategically and quickly ‘get the big picture’ when analyzing situations. You consider yourself to be creative and can demonstrate, through numerous examples, where your creativity has helped you resolve complex financial challenges. |
