President & CEO The Greater Halifax Partnership is the catalyst for economic growth and confidence in Greater Halifax, the economic hub of Atlantic Canada. Created in 1996, the Partnership is a unique private-public model of investment now copied throughout North America. More than 150 of Greater Halifax’s most influential businesses and all three levels of government invest in the Partnership. With their support, the Partnership leverages every municipal economic tax dollar three times to build business confidence, secure business stability and growth, research and report economic trends, and remove roadblocks on behalf of business. On their behalf, we are seeking a strategic leader to assume the challenging role of President and CEO. Reporting to the Board of Directors, you will assume a key role in articulating the economic development vision for Greater Halifax and building for its future. Additionally, you will be responsible for the day-to-day management of the organization including operations, administration, marketing, human resources and finances. As the ideal candidate, you are a collaborative and persuasive professional leader who will engage and inspire all sectors of the local community, as well as national and international players, on issues of economic development and prosperity. You are an effective relationship builder who is accustomed to forging consensus among numerous stakeholders. Comfortable in a highly visible role, you have several years of executive leadership experience and possess relevant academic and professional qualifications.
