Executive Director The Pharmacy Association of Nova Scotia (PANS) is seeking an experienced, senior-level professional to lead the development and growth of the organization as its Executive Director. Based in Halifax, you will report to a Board of Directors and assume overall responsibility for providing leadership to this 1,100-member organization. Operationally, you will manage public affairs, member services, advocacy, government relations, finances, human resources, and administration. Managing a small staff, you will provide proper direction to them as they provide support to members, the Board, and various committees.`As Executive Director, you will liaise with the provincial government to ensure open relationships exist and that regulators understand the interests of all members. You will also play a vital role nationally as you work collaboratively with other provincial and national associations on strategic matters. As the ideal candidate, you are a senior level manager with a solid understanding of association management. You have a thorough grasp of governance issues and a collaborative style that promotes cooperation among stakeholders. Well-respected in your field, you are an excellent negotiator and can motivate people to meet challenging objectives. Ideally, you hold a professional designation or Masters’ level degree and have knowledge of the health care sector. |
