On their behalf, we are seeking a strategic leader and manager to assume the challenging role of Chief Administrative Officer.

Working under the direction of Municipal Council, you will ensure that the Municipality provides quality and timely services to residents and businesses by overseeing all day-to-day municipal activities including the planning, coordination and control of all operations, programs and services. Additionally, you will provide sound strategic leadership to Council and staff, and will liaise with stakeholders on key projects affecting the municipality.

As the ideal candidate, you have several years of senior experience working in municipal government, ideally within a CAO model of governance. Alternatively, you have extensive experience managing a complex organization and possess a thorough knowledge of financial, administrative, operational, human resources and project management best practices within the public sector. In addition to your strong academic and professional credentials, you have also built an enduring reputation for excellence in the areas of integrity, communication and leadership, and have become adept at finding common ground and building bridges among multiple stakeholders with differing agendas. You have strong academic and professional credentials and a solid track record building consensus and promoting cooperation among elected officials, senior management, labour, employees, citizens and other key stakeholders, such as boards, agencies and committees.
