Senior Manager, Consulting Services Our client, the Saint Mary’s University Business Development Centre (SMUBDC), is seeking a talented management professional to join its team as Senior Manager, Consulting Services in its downtown Halifax office. In addition to its mandate of supporting community businesses and business leaders through consulting and training services, the SMUBDC helps link the business community with faculty, staff and students of the Sobey School of Business at Saint Mary’s University. As Senior Manager, Consulting Services, you will manage the initiation, planning, execution and delivery of both staff and student-led consulting projects in a wide variety of business areas. You will ensure all projects meet or exceed client expectations and are delivered on time, on budget and with an acceptable level of risk. Additionally, you will manage the division’s budgeting and financial management, and will provide leadership to the entire consulting team. As the ideal candidate, you have senior-level work experience in a consulting environment, either with management consulting firms or in internal roles in which you have gained significant client service and project management experience. You are comfortable working both independently and as part of a team, and also understand the importance of communication and managing expectations. Possessing strong interpersonal skills, you are well respected for your proven leadership abilities. Additionally, you possess superior writing skills and enjoy writing reports. You hold a university degree in commerce/business administration or related discipline and are proficient with Microsoft spreadsheet and word processing applications. An MBA and/or professional designation is preferred. |
