General Manager - Oakfield Golf & Country Club Oakfield Golf & Country Club, an established, 18-hole club located just outside Halifax, is seeking an experienced General Manager. In this role, you will report to a Board of Directors and work closely with a well-qualified, knowledgeable senior management team. Through this group, you will be accountable for all golf operations (pro shop, instructional programs, tournaments, and member play), course maintenance and improvement, and food and beverage operations. Well-respected for your interpersonal qualities, you will be the “face” of the Club to members and guests ensuring an exemplary level of service is provided. With a strong appreciation for governance, you will work directly with the Board of Directors, providing guidance on key strategic and operational issues, as well as providing staff support to its various committees. You will be responsible for the efficient financial management of Club operations including operating and capital budgets, financial reporting, and internal controls. As an established leader of others, you will impart the necessary human resource direction to ensure all employees achieve their goals. As the ideal candidate, you have proven management experience in a golf club operation. From that experience, you have developed broad knowledge club operations including food and beverage, maintenance, facilities, finance, human resources, member services and instructional programs. You have excellent communication and leadership skills that enable you to develop employees and foster a team environment.
