PRIVACY POLICY
At Gerald Walsh Associates Inc., we are committed to protecting the privacy of every individual, in all aspects of our executive search, career transition and executive coaching services. Our employees are required to sign a confidentiality agreement that binds them to the Privacy Policy as outlined below.
Collection and use of information
The information collected by Gerald Walsh Associates will vary according to the type of service being provided.
For executive search purposes, solicited as well as unsolicited resumes are collected via electronic or paper means. Information provided in those resumes is used by Gerald Walsh Associates to evaluate and assess candidate skills and qualifications against client requirements. Candidate information is for internal use only and is not sold, discussed or shared with outside parties, unless consent from the candidate has been obtained prior to doing so. Similarly, candidates must give their consent to having Gerald Walsh Associates communicate with any referees. From time to time, third parties may also be contacted in order to verify credentials. Any information obtained during the normal course of the recruitment process is information that will be used exclusively for that purpose.
By their very nature, career transition and executive coaching services will result in clients revealing highly confidential and sensitive information. All such information, whether collected during face-to-face meetings, telephone conversations, or electronic exchange, is for the sole purpose of assisting individual clients with their job search or career advancement efforts. Once again, should there be a need to contact third parties for any reason, consent from the client must first be obtained. All information gathered is restricted to its intended and expressed use. Gerald Walsh Associates does not sell, discuss, or share any such details with outside persons unless consent from the client has been obtained prior to doing so.
Storage and protection of information
Regardless of the specific service, information may be stored in electronic or paper formats. Security measures used to protect information from loss, misuse, or unauthorized access may include shredding sensitive documents (such as resumes) that are no longer required, storing files in cabinets that are locked or not accessible to the general public, as well as using password protected electronic files. In all instances, the safeguards used are deemed appropriate for the sensitivity level of the information involved. Information is discarded or destroyed once it no longer fulfills its intended purpose, or once its reliability and accuracy are put into question.
Web browsing
Anyone visiting our web site is free to access information regarding our organization, employees, associates, services, and job opportunities. While we may subscribe to services that collect information regarding visitor numbers and other general web site statistics, individuals browsing our site remain completely anonymous, unless they initiate contact with our office to submit a resume, request a copy of our salary guide, or seek to obtain additional information regarding our services.
Openness and feedback
Any candidate or client wanting to review or withdraw their information from our records may submit a verbal or written request. Such requests will be addressed within five (5) business days and in cases of withdrawal requests, all necessary actions will be taken to ensure proper purging of information.
As our business continues to grow and change, so will our commitment to protecting individual privacy. Any amendments to our Privacy Policy shall be initiated as the need arises, and all such updates will be posted to our web site in due course, ensuring that users always have access to our most current privacy policy.
